New Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine is making a lot of enemies fast.
Michael Vick would rather get paid than start
Just hours after Pettine said his former boss, New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, gave the Jets playbook "out like candy" that resulted in the New England Patriots obtaining a copy, a justifiably livid Ryan made his displeasure known to NFL.com.
"(Pettine) needs to learn to be quiet," Ryan said. "Absolutely."
In an earlier NFL.com report, Pettine was commenting on the Cleveland Browns defensive playbook to Sports Illustrated reporter Greg Bedard and how thin it was.

"I don't put a lot of graduate-level information in it," Pettine said to Bedard. "We know in places like New England, it's only a matter of time that they somehow mysteriously end up with our playbook."
Asked to elaborate, Pettine said: "It didn't shock me because Rex would give them out like candy anyway. He gave one out to (Alabama coach Nick) Saban and I was like, 'Don't you know Saban and Bill (Belichick) are pretty good friends? I have a feeling it's going to end up in New England.' "
Asked whether he thought that the Patriots ever had one of his playbooks, Ryan said, "Go talk to Mike Pettine. I don't know."
"I don't understand what he's trying to gain by it," Ryan continued. "... Everyone needs to talk to Mike Pettine 'cause he's got all the answers."
According to NFL.com, Ryan grew more agitated at Pettine as his rebuttal went on, using the word, "ridiculous" several times in his comments.
The Jets head coach insisted that Belichick, the Patriots head coach, never had an advantage because the Jets playbook constantly changes. That didn't stop him from going off on his former employee.
His relationship with Pettine is "in a bad spot now. ... Like, 'Really dude?' "
