L.A. Clippers News: Three Reserves to Opt Out, Test Free Agency [VIDEO]

The LA Clippers could lose three of their valuable reserves with guard Darren Collison and forwards Danny Granger and Glen Davis opting out of their contracts to test the free agent market this summer, according to an ESPN report.

Clippers team officials were said to be expecting the three to test free agency because of the terms of their current contracts. Collison could make $1.9 million next season under his current contract while Granger and Davis, $1.4 million each.

While the three players would like to stay with the Clippers, sources said they would want to get a longer deal thus pushing them to try free agency. All three players were valuable to the Clippers' playoff run which ended at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder which beat them, 4-2, in the West semis.

The 26-year old Collison is expected to draw a bigger deal in the free agent market after posting averages of 13.3 points and 6.5 assists in 18 games as a starter in place of All-Star Chris Paul who went down with a shoulder injury at the start of the year.

While Collison wants a longer deal, it is said that the spitfire would want to return to playing back-up to Paul if a contract can be worked out.

Davis and Granger, meanwhile, were mid-season acquisitions from the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers, respectively. Davis averaged 4.2 rebounds and 3 rebounds in 23 regular season games while Granger had averages of 8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12 regular season games.
