Holly Holm Next Fight: Former Boxing Champ Won't Pass on Chance to Fight Ronda Rousey; 'If They Throw Me In, Awesome' [VIDEO]

UFC women's bantamweight contender Holly Holm has made it known that she prefers to get her feet wet before jumping into the title picture, but she seems to be changing her tune.

Holm will make her UFC debut at UFC 181 on Dec. 6 against Raquel Pennington, a tune-up fight if there ever was one for the former world boxing champion. It will be just her eighth fight since transitioning to mixed martial arts, so it's understandable she would want to hone her skills before fighting for a championship.

But Holm recently said she would not pass up the opportunity to fight UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey if the UFC offered it to her.

"If they throw me in with Ronda, awesome," Holm said to MMAFighting.com on Tuesday. "I'm never the one who makes the call. I always want more time, because I'm never going to be perfect. There's always time."

Even though she was an 18-time boxing champion and has 38 fights in her boxing career, Holm said she always believes there is room for improvement.

"I have been boxing forever, and my jab needs so much work," she said. "I'm constantly learning, I never feel like yes I'm ready. However, if you give me a fight, I'm going to believe in myself."

Despite Holm's lack of MMA experience many believe she'll be able to be a true test for Rousey, who as looked unstoppable as of late evidenced by her 16-second knockout win in her last title defense in July. Holm said she is only focused on her next fight, though she will be keeping an eye on Rousey's bouts so she'll be ready if they ever meet in the octagon.

'I just want one fight at a time for right now," Holm said. "I don't want to look too far ahead, I have Raquel Pennington in front of me, but always make sure I watch Ronda's fights though, don't get me wrong."
