“RGIII took the first rep at Wednesday's practice, but the Redskins don't start their official practice week until Thursday this week because of Monday night's game. Coach Jay Gruden made Colt McCoy instead of RGIII available to the media, and said he wants to have a starter in place by Thursday afternoon, suggesting it will be McCoy. RGIII will shoot for a Week 9 return at Minnesota.”

Griffin is recovering from a dislocated ankle that he suffered earlier this season and lucked out when it was revealed that the dislocation didn't do serious damage to the ligaments in the area. Griffin is expected to play Week 9 for the Redskins, but Monday Night Football is officially out for the former No. 2 overall pick.
