NASCAR Sprint Cup Series NSCS at Texas Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage STARTING GRID

The 2014 Sprint Cup Chase for the Cup will continue today at 3:00 p.m. ET on ESPN when the NSCS at Texas presented by Federated Auto Parts kicks off on ESPN. The race can be live streamed free by clicking this link.

Matt Kenseth sits atop the pole for this race, but he didn't run the fastest lap in qualifying. That goes to Tony Stewart, who became the first NASCAR driver in 2014 to hit 200 miles per hour.

"To be able to say we're the first guy on a mile and a half to run 200, that's pretty cool I think," Stewart said. Stewart came in fourth last week at Martinsville and appears to be regaining his form after a hiatus following a tragic accident earlier this year on a dirt track. Stewart's car had clipped a fellow driver named Kevin Ward Jr. who died of his injuries.

Stewart's fast lap wasn't enough to hold off Kenseth, however, while the qualifying rounds as a whole were littered with speedy times.

"It's crazy fast," Kenseth said. "It just amazes me every time you qualify here how fast you can go, especially when it cools off a little bit." Kenseth, unlike Stewart, remains in the running for the title. He is joined by Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman and Joey Logano in the Final Four.

Gordon will be in second position to start today, Newman will start seventh and Logano 10th
