Sting WWE Debut: Notes On Steve Borden's Deal And Details Leading To His Survivor Series Appearance [VIDEO]

With the wrestling world still buzzing about Steve "Sting" Borden making his WWE debut at the Survivor Series on Sunday night in St. Louis, more details have emerged over what led to his appearance and the deal that he signed with the company.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For Friday

Sting got involved in the Team Cena vs. Team Authority main event at the Survivor Series, having a long stare down with Triple H until he hit him with the Scorpion Death Drop.

Sting then placed Dolph Ziggler -- the last man standing for Team Cena -- on top of The Authority's last hope Seth Rollins, ensuring the victory for Team Cena.

Chairs Match Announced For WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs

The loss caused Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to lose their on-screen power and seems to have started a feud between "The Game" and the former WCW and TNA icon.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Sting has signed a performance deal with the WWE after months of negotiating a pact, but it is unknown how long it is for or what the exact details are.

Sting had already signed something similar to a legends deal with the WWE, which led to his merchandise being sold and him appearing in the WWE 2K15 video game.

Per the report, Sting didn't get the call to appear at the Survivor Series at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis until last Thursday. Sting is not expected to be at any WWE live events, and won't be on too many television shows until the company has set plans for him.

It was reported earlier this week that the WWE originally planned for Sting to be unveiled in some capacity at the Survivor Series, but it was a last-minute decision to put him in the main event.

There have been rumors that he may wrestle more than one match with the company, but it is unknown if the WWE will decide to do that. If he does work more than one bout, it won't be too many within the company.

The company has plans in place to tease Sting's appearance a lot while he will rarely actually appear in the WWE. The organization will continue to plug Sting and then unveil him for its big events and the build toward those special shows.

It is likely Sting won't wrestle a match until WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

His opponent is up in the air as he seems to have started a feud with Triple H, but there have always been reports of the WWE wanting to put Sting against The Undertaker at the Show of Shows.

The Undertaker's participation is up in the air, however, since he lost The Streak to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX and was injured during the contest.

With the talks of Sting working more than one match, it is possible he feuds with Triple H and The Undertaker in 2015, though it is likely he won't appear as an active wrestler for the WWE until WrestleMania.

Sting has said in an interview he'd love to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania even without The Streak, but he also mentioned Triple H as a possible opponent as well.

It remains to be seen exactly what the WWE will opt to do with Sting, but he is officially an active wrestler in the company after years of speculation.
