CM Punk News: Backstage Reaction To Punk's Comments On Ryback, 'Unprofessional and Cheap' [VIDEO]

With CM Punk officially joining UFC over the weekend, there are still a lot of people talking about his recent Art of Wrestling podcast appearance with Colt Cabana where he ripped on many people, including WWE Superstar Ryback.

Punk intimated that Ryback injured him on purpose and took 20 years off of his career. Punk also called "The Big Guy" a "steroid guy" during the interview.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is a feeling backstage among some of the WWE talent that Punk's comments about Ryback were cheap and unprofessional. It has also been said that no one believed that Ryback kicked Punk as hard as he could or that he broke Punk's ribs on purpose.

There was also a consensus that no one felt sorry for Punk for dealing with all of his injuries that he complained about on the podcast because nearly everyone on the roster works hurt at a certain point and goes through the rigorous WWE schedule with a litany of injuries.

Punk walked out on the WWE in January after the frustration over the way he was being booked and having to work hurt got the best of him. He hasn't been in a WWE ring since the 2014 Royal Rumble.

Punk said on the podcast that he was tired of working hurt and that he wasn't given the push he felt he deserved while he was forced to job out to part-time wrestlers like Brock Lesnar and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Punk has since signed on with UFC in what is said to be a multi-year deal as he looks to embark on a new career after wrestling. Punk has said he is done with professional wrestling and will never return to the squared circle.

It remains to be seen when Punk will debut in UFC, but it could take six to seven months for the "Best in the World" to have a fight in the MMA realm.
