WWE Rumors 2015: Brock Lesnar Bloodied By Blade & Not Ring Post In 'WrestleMania 31' Title Match? [WATCH VIDEO]

Update: The WWE issued the following statement to Sports World News in regard to Brock Lesnar bleeding at WrestleMania 31:

"WWE programming is TV-PG and we don't permit intentional bleeding. The communication or contact between our performers and referees is part of our safety protocol. That said, unintentional blood sometimes occurs, and we do our best to minimize."

Brock Lesnar became a bloodied "Beast" during his World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 and it appears that a blade hand-off was caught on camera.

During his title defense this past Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Lesnar was busted open and while it seemed like it may have been legitimate, a new GIF going around points to the contrary.

The image going around depicts Reigns lying on the ground after Lesnar threw him to the outside.

The referee then goes to check on him and seems to hand him something. It appears as though the referee handed Reigns a blade and he then gave it to Lesnar so that he could blade himself during the ring post spot on the floor.

It had appeared upon first viewing that Lesnar may have legitimately hit the post with his head on the outside, but it looks like Reigns ended up handing him the blade so that he could do a "blade job," leading to the crimson mask later flowing down his head.

The belief going around is that Vince McMahon let Lesnar blade as a way to make the WrestleMania match seem more special as the WWE has banned blading and has attempted to keep blood out of their bouts in recent years.

With the WWE being a PG company, they've outlawed the use of blades and toned down the barbaric match types involving blood, but it appears McMahon let Lesnar get some color in order to add to the biggest match of the year.

The show of course ended with Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to make it a Triple Threat Match leading to "The Architect" winning his first ever WWE World Heavyweight Championship after he pinned Reigns.

Lesnar recently re-signed with the WWE on a contract that reportedly is a three-year deal, but he was written out of storylines on Monday Night RAW with Stephanie McMahon suspending him to keep him off television due to the nature of his part-time pact.
