Rasheed Suliamon Update: Former Duke Player Tweets Congrats Following Blue Devils National Championship [VIDEO]

The Duke Blue Devils defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 68-63 on Monday night to win the 2015 NCAA men's national championship game in Indianapolis. The win was head coach Mike Krzyzewski's fifth and the program's sixth overall.

Duke truly employed a by-committee approach to winning, relying upon multiple players to carry the load offensively. Blue chip stars Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow paced the team early, but fell into foul trouble in the first half. That allowed freshmen Grayson Allen and Tyus Jones to step up in the second half, with a combined 29 points between them.

One player the Blue Devils could've certainly used was Rasheed Suliamon. The junior was a career double-digit scorer for Coach K and co. in his three years in Durham, but he was dismissed from the team last month under accusations of sexual assault and other misconduct. At the time Krzyzewski had said Suliamon "has been unable to consistently live up to the standards required to be a member of our program."

Despite not being able to play with his teammates, Suliamon was still cheering them on from an undisclosed location. After the final buzzer sounded and the Dookies began cutting down the nets, Suliamon tweeted congratulations to his former comrades.
