One dubious instant replay ruling from the referees notwithstanding, most college basketball fans believe the Duke Blue Devils won Monday night’s national championship fair and square.
Some, like United States Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri), however, have bristled at the team’s roster composition.
The Dookies got significant contributions from a corps of freshmen, including Justise Winslow, Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones, and Jahlil Okafor.
Multiple names amongst that group are players predicted to enter this off-season’s NBA Draft. McCaskill took to her Twitter account to decry the nature of one-and-done players in NCAA basketball.
