WWE 'Elimination Chamber' 2015 Results: Kevin Owens Defeats John Cena, Ambrose Wins Via DQ and More

The WWE's future was on full display at Elimination Chamber and it was a big night for Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens -- and a rough one for The Lunatic Fringe.

It had appeared as though The Architect dropped the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Dean Ambrose after he hit Dirty Deeds and pinned him, but the referee's conferenced and reversed the decision. Rollins was disqualified and therefore retained the gold.

After the match, The Authority beat down The Lunatic Fringe, but Roman Reigns -- who was banned from ringside earlier in the night -- made the save. Ambrose then announced he was taking the championship with him.

Elsewhere, in what was the stunner of the night, Owens, the NXT Champion, defeated United States Champion John Cena with the Pop-up Powerbomb in the Champion vs. Champion match.

Both men had kicked out of each other's finishers earlier in the bout in what was a tremendous back-and-forth match and an early Match of the Year candidate that put Owens on the map.

Elsewhere, Ryback won his first singles title when he last eliminated Sheamus in the Elimination Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship. R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler and King Barrett were also in the bout while Mark Henry served as a replacement for the injured Rusev (leg).

Injured Superstar Daniel Bryan awarded Ryback the belt following the contest.

In the other Chamber Match, which marked the first time the WWE Tag Team Championships were put on the line under this stipulation, The New Day retained the gold. All three of the members were able to compete due to an edict from Kane.

The New Day defeated The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil), Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando), The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara & Kalisto), Cesaro & Tyson Kidd and The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) to retain.

One notable spot saw Kalisto climb to the roof of the dome and jump off of it from the inside. The full list of the entry and exit order for both Chamber Matches can be seen below.

Nikki Bella was also successful in her defense of the Divas Championship as she defeated Paige and Naomi in a Triple Threat Match after hitting the Rack Attack on Naomi.

In other action, Neville defeated Bo Dallas with the Red Arrow.

On the pre-show, The Miz returned to television with MizTV and his guest was Bryan. The Beard guaranteed to return after Miz took credit for all the success in his career and acted as though it was over.

The WWE also announced that Owens vs. Cena II will occur at Money in the Bank in two weeks while six of the competitors for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match were revealed. The participants are Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Ziggler, Sheamus, Neville and Kofi Kingston.

Sports World News went 3-3 in its pre-show predictions.
