PGA Tour Leaderboard: Jordan Spieth Wears The Masters Green Jacket While Watching TV at Home

There's an unwritten rule in golf: you can win the Masters and don the illustrious green jacket in all its glory, just don't use it for casual wear. Apparently, Jordan Spieth doesn't abide to that pretentious rule.

Tiger Woods Changes His Game

At a press conference ahead of the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay, the 21-year-old was blunt when asked about the whereabouts of his green jacket, admitting his faults.

"It's at home," Spieth said (via ASAP Sports). "I didn't bring it for this stretch, for this week, here. I think I put it on last week at some point, but it's at my house right now and it's perfectly content there. And I hope to keep it there for many years to come."

His response raised a few eyebrows around the room, prompting a follow up question.

"Why did you put it on?"

"Why? Just to make sure it was still in the case," he added. "No, I think I was just kind of watching TV and wanted to slip it on, just kind of felt like it. Why wouldn't I put it on, to be honest with you?"

Exactly, why wouldn't you?

Years of sacrifice, hard work and dreams culminated in masterful achievement few could ever imagine and the fruits of said achievement just so happens to be a green garment you can wear at any given moment.

Why limit it to use just once a year?

Trivial matters out of the way, Spieth is ready to take on a difficult course come Thursday.

"I really enjoy the layout," Spieth said. "I think it's going to be a fun challenge. It's a beautiful challenge, as well. It's going to be nice to kind of...I think it might be slower rounds of golf, given the size of the greens and the difficulty of the course."

"So at least we have some nice views, as well."

Spieth will tee off from the first hole on Thursday at 2:17 p.m. ET.
