Danny Garcia Next Fight: Angel Garcia Accuses Lamont Peterson Of Using Steroids Before Last Bout? [VIDEO]

Boxing fans who watched Danny "Swift" Garcia's most recent bout, a majority decision victory over Lamont Peterson, saw Garcia win largely because Peterson wasn't particularly active early in the fight. When Peterson became aggressive, he was landing harder shots than he has in his entire career.

The decision for Garcia was a controversial one; Peterson appeared to land the harder and more effective shots. Garcia's outspoken father Angel says that's because he may have been using performance enhancing drugs.

"At the end of the day Peterson never sat down in his corner. I'm not saying what the f**k he was on. I know it wasn't no god damn Red Bull. He looked like he was on some s**t," Angel Garcia said.

The accusation is not one to be taken lightly; Peterson admitted to using steroids in 2012 before a fight against Amir Khan that ended up cancelling the fight. The fight was contested at a catch weight of 143 pounds, three pounds above the junior welterweight limit where both were champions.

"I don't want to accuse people of nothing or call people junkies or whatever you want to call them. We did anti-doping yes. Yes we did. But we always get both tests at the end of the results. We get the results from both fighters and we never got Peterson's. I'm not exposing nobody, I'm just saying. We still beat the mother****er whatever the f**k he was on."

Garcia is now scheduled to face Paulie Malignaggi August 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Since upsetting Lucas Matthysse in 2013, Garcia has remained undefeated but lost momentum with fans because of a string of less-than-stellar performances. His wins over Mauricio Herrera and Peterson were questionable (both majority decisions) and his win over Rod Salka was discounted because it was such a mismatch it was not even sanctioned as a title fight.
