COWBOYS vs CHARGERS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Preseason Week 1, Dallas at San Diego

Tonight at 10 p.m. ET, the Cowboys and Chargers begin their preseason slates with a Week 1 clash live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

Dallas is coming in off of a season where it finished 12-4 and won the NFC East for the first time since 2009. After toppling the Lions in the opening round, the Cowboys fell to the Packers, 26-21, in the divisional playoffs in controversial fashion.

San Diego finished in third place in the AFC West last season, but unlike 2013, it wasn't good enough for a postseason berth.

Dallas and San Diego clash in the preseason for the fifth time in six years.

The Cowboys will be missing plenty of star power from this week's games as Tony Romo won't play after missing three straight practices and Dez Bryant also will miss the game due to a hamstring injury. Bryant recently signed a five-year, $70 million extension with $45 million guaranteed, becoming the NFL's second-highest paid wide receiver.

Brandon Weeden will get the ball under center to start the game for Dallas in preseason Week 1.

The Chargers are expected to trot out Philip Rivers for the start of the game, but he won't last too long since it's only the opening week of the preseason. Rivers enters the 2015 campaign without a contract for next season.

Rookie running back Melvin Gordon will play his first game as a pro for San Diego and he admitted to having some butterflies.

"I know I'm going to be nervous, for sure," Gordon said via The San Diego Tribune. "After that first couple of carries, I'll be all right. You want to put your best foot forward and put on a show."

NFL action begins when the Cowboys and Chargers do battle live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
