Bears Position Battle To Watch

Back-up running back: Jacquizz Rodgers looks as though he is the front-runner for No. 2 spot behind Matt Forte, but Ka'Deem Carey is looking to make a push and a strong game this week could change the pecking order. Jeremy Langford is also in the mix for Chicago.

Carey had a touchdown last week while rushing for 34 yards on seven carries (4.9 yards per carry). Rodgers averaged 4.7 yards per carry against the Dolphins (seven attempts, 33 yards) while Langford was held to just four touches for a single yard.

Final running back spot: With Frank Gore slated to be the Indianapolis' primary running back and Boom Herron serving as his backup, the rest of the backs are jockeying for position on the depth chart.

Vick Ballard is expected to return for this week's game after missing most of training camp with a tight hamstring. It'll mark his first game action in 714 days, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Ballard, Zurlon Tipton and rookie Josh Robinson are battling it out for a spot. Robinson had a productive outing in preseason Week 1, rushing for 44 yards on 10 carries (4.4 yards per carry) and reaching the end zone once.
