Rusev may be marrying the smokin' hot Lana, but he's getting lost in the shuffle in the WWE.
The personal life of the "Bulgarian Brute" is flourishing, as evidenced by the giant rock he put on the ring of his former on-screen valet Lana. In many ways that makes him one of the luckiest guys in the WWE and in life in general as Lana is an absolute bombshell.

However, inside the squared circle, the career of the "Super Athlete" is starting to go south. Rusev had a lot of credibility earlier this year during his fantastic feud with John Cena over the United States Championship. He then moved onto a struggle with Dolph Ziggler, which led to Lana siding with the babyface and the mighty Russian turning to Summer Rae on WWE television.
Though the storyline showcased the ladies more than it did their male counterparts, it at least gave Rusev something to do. Now, he appears to be getting buried. With Hell in a Cell airing in less than two weeks on Oct. 25 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Rusev doesn't even have a match thus far.

It doesn't seem like things will be getting any better for the "Bulgarian Brute" now that his real-life engagement to Lana has leaked.
Vince McMahon is irate over the engagement between the couple getting out to the media, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer. In storylines, the couple was split up and feuding, but the WWE had to re-work the angle now that their engagement reached the mainstream media.
The WWE was forced to acknowledge the couple's plans to wed on WWE Monday Night RAW this week, poking holes in their storylines and causing Summer Rae to turn on Rusev. Ziggler has appeared to at least temporarily move on from the feud, which is a God-send, while Lana is still nursing a wrist injury.
News of the engagement leaking could lead to a burial of Rusev, who is already floundering as it is. Once Lana returns to the fold after her wrist heels, the company could can its plans to turn her into one of the top Divas. Rusev even jobbed cleanly to Ryback on RAW.
