Draft Kings Strategy 2015 Week 7: Rishard Matthews Among Best Bargains At Each Position In Daily Fantasy Football

The best way to cash on weekly fantasy football sites is to load up on as many stars with good matchups as possible. Due to budget restraints, however, fantasy players must sacrifice other positions to nab the stars they want.

Here, you'll find the top bargains at each position on Draft Kings that will let you splurge elsewhere..

Don't Miss Out On These Bargain Players On FanDuel For Week 7

Quarterbacks

1. Brian Hoyer, Texans ($5,300): Hoyer has been very, very competent this season and that shouldn’t change going up against a weak Miami pass defense. Don’t be sold on them all of a sudden because they limited a hobbled, rookie QB in Marcus Mariota last week. Hoyer’s been around the block, and has eight touchdowns vs. two picks this year.

2. Landry Jones, Steelers ($5,100): Jones will likely make his first start this week, but he’s in good shape because he’s facing a Chiefs defense that has been horrendous vs. the pass, and he has an offense stacked with weapons. Even his running back, Le’Veon Bell, will help him put up stats.

3. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jets ($5,200): This is a risk play. Fitzpatrick has exceeded expectations so far, and many are waiting for him to have a disastrous three-INT game. Thing is, he had that already. Fitzpatrick has benefitted from legitimate skill players lifting him up. The Patriots don’t have the personnel to contain Brandon Marshall, and they’ll need to focus on bottling up Chris Ivory, which is less attention on Eric Decker. If the Jets are for real, Fitzy might be a big-time play.

Running Backs

1. Darren McFadden, Cowboys ($3,100): With Lance Dunbar out, McFadden is taking over the high-volume role of pass-catching back for Dallas. In one week in the role, McFadden caught nine passes for 62 yards. This week he’ll have Matt Cassel, not Brandon Weeden, running the offense. That shouldn’t be much different.

2. Dexter McCluster, Titans ($3,200): McCluster has slowly but surely gotten more work as he proves he is the best option in Tennessee’s backfield. Atlanta has struggled against RBs in the passing game, so McCluster makes a ton of sense, especially in a PPR format. Please remember that he did get in the end zone last week.

3. Ryan Mathews, Eagles ($3,200): Mathews gets a fair share of work, and when it’s his turn, and the Eagles are near the goal line, he doesn’t cede the opportunities to his higher-priced backfield mate DeMarco Murray. Mathews sees 10-12 touches per game, more than enough to do a little damage.

Wide Receivers

1. Donte Moncrief, Colts ($5,200): Moncrief returned to the ranks of the usable, and it unsurprisingly coincided with Andrew Luck’s return to the field. Moncrief was targeted 11 times, and he hauled in six of them for 69 yards and a touchdown. Against the Saints this week, good times are ahead.

2. Rishard Matthews, Dolphins ($4,300): The Dolphins have a prime matchup vs. the Texans, one of the NFL’s worst defenses through six weeks. They have struggled particularly to defend No. 2 receivers. Matthews has been targeted six or more times in four of Miami’s five games, so that is a trend that should continue.

3. Leonard Hankerson, Falcons ($4,200): The Titans are even worse than Houston vs. No. 2 receivers, and Hankerson has now gone two straight weeks without making waves. The Falcons passing offense is one of the better attacks in the league, and Hankerson will be the recipient of a ton of looks in Week 7.

Tight Ends

1. Jason Witten, Cowboys ($4,800): Witten will be heavily targeted by Cassel in his first game as the Cowboys starter, even if Dez Bryant returns. Terrance Williams has proven he’s not much of a No. 1, so Witten is the main weapon by default.

2. Jared Cook, Rams ($2,800): The Browns have a hard time in general on defense, but they’re particularly inept at covering tight ends. Cook is frustrating beyond belief sometimes, but his physical tools, plus the Browns’ deficiencies, make for a juicy matchup.

3. Delanie Walker, Titans ($3,900): We all saw Ben Watson put up 30-plus points on the Falcons on Thursday night. Walker is more targeted, and more talented.
