Victor Cruz, who hasn't played a single down this season thanks to lingering calf issues, ran into some off the field trouble with his fiancée earlier this month. Cruz's fiancée, Elaina Watley, found out about some side pieces Cruz had on the road, and mass texted them to blow up his spot.
Apparently, she blew up the relationship too. In a fully heel move, Cruz apparently broke off the relationship with Watley in the wake of her gotcha text. TerezOwens.com reported the news that his engagement has been broken off, and posted photos of the Giants receiver with a brand new girl about whom not much is known yet. Cruz has not played since Week 6 of 2014, when he suffered a torn patellar tendon jumping for a pass in the end zone. Cruz had surgery and rehabbed the knee, but has dealt with calf problems since training camp. Cruz was slated to return in Week 4, only to aggravate the calf during a mid-week practice, which shut him down. Cruz now claims he is pain-free, but expect Big Blue to proceed with extreme caution.
