Lamar Odom nearly lost his life due to drugs and alcohol, but that may not stop his wife from exploiting the crisis for a big payday.
Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner reportedly plan to tell Odom's tragic tale on big screens everywhere, according to OK Magazine. Per sources connected to the site, Kardashian already has actors in mind to play out the real-life drama for Hollywood as their ideal casting would see Jennifer Lawrence take up the role of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, while Will Smith would portray Odom.

The Kardashian clan has reportedly been approached several times to make a film out of Odom's dramatic situation, which saw him fall into a coma at a Nevada brothel in October. It appears the family is leaning toward eventually making the film.
Odom made a miraculous recovery after it being revealed he had a 50-50 shot at making it out of the coma alive. Rather than count their lucky stars, Kardashian and company are looking to cash in.

Following the former NBA star's flirtation with death, Kardashian opted to cancel the proceedings on their divorce so she can be by his side on the long journey to recovery. It isn't all roses, however, as Kardashian is still dating Rockets star James Harden, and was spotted out and about with him over the weekend.
Nothing like a crazy love triangle full of booze and drugs to sell a Hollywood script.
A source told the publication that they believe Kardashian and Jenner are interested in adapting the near-fatal event into a movie, but they can't until the former basketball player is back on his feet.
"The only issue is how the family would be portrayed, and that's why Kris is heavily involved," the source told the publication.
If what the source is saying is accurate, this is just another disgusting move on the part of the Kardashians. This is a man who Khloe herself once loved and even claims to still love, who nearly lost his life. Now, the reality stars want to do what they do best, make a profit by exploiting their fame.
Kardashian hasn't exactly made herself scarce during Odom's recovery, frequently mugging it up in front of cameras and talking to the media rather than staying by the bedside of her husband. While it's noble that she called off the divorce to help with Odom's hospital bills, exploiting him further for a movie is just plain wrong.
Perhaps the worst part about this whole thing is how it isn't that surprising at all.
