If Johnny Manziel ever finds his way to Dallas, he'll have one huge hurdle to jump.
New Jersey governor and avid Cowboys fan Chris Christie isn't keen to the possibility of Jerry Jones going after "Johnny Football," should the Browns set him free.

The Cowboys' owner has always shown an affinity for the quarterback, but Christie doesn't want to see Manziel don a Cowboys uniform. In fact, he'd put his body on the line to ensure it doesn't happen.
"I will throw my body in front of the Johnny Manziel train if it heads toward Dallas," Christie told the Hugh Hewitt Show, according to TMZ.

Rumors tying Manziel to the Cowboys have circulated nonstop, but with incumbent Dallas quarterback Tony Romo holding off retirement for at least four years, it's unlikely anything will materialize on that front. That means Christie can breathe a sigh of relief -- and not hurl himself in front of any trains.
It's understandable why the politician wouldn't want Manziel on his football team, mostly considering the headaches the former Heisman Trophy winner has caused during his brief time in the NFL. From allegedly striking his former girlfriend Colleen Crowley, whom he just recently broke up with, to going to great lengths to party inappropriately, there's no reason to believe the signal caller can be trusted.
After checking into alcohol rehab in early 2015, Manziel was caught on tape partying during the Browns' bye week last season. He then tried to lie and say the tape was old before his ruse was blown, which subsequently landed him a two-game suspension.
Manziel then sat out the final week of the season with a concussion, while the circus continued, this time with reports surfacing that he partied in Las Vegas in a disguise. The off-field distractions have been enough for new Browns coach Hue Jackson to hint Manziel's days in Cleveland are numbered.
If he is eventually cut, Christie doesn't want Dallas to even entertain the thought of landing the embattled quarterback.
