Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm Rematch: 'Rowdy's' Mom Not Confident Her Daughter Can Win With Current Trainer [VIDEO]

Perhaps the nickname "Rowdy" is better suited for Ronda Rousey's mother.

Dr. Ann Maria De Mars hasn't been shy about criticizing her daughter's embattled coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, and her most recent scathing comments about him are very telling.

Not Re-Watching Loss To Holly Holm Could Be Ronda Rousey's Downfall

The former Judo champion admitted that she not only expected Rousey to lose to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November, but she believes her daughter will lose again if they ever meet once more in the Octagon.

"I predicted [her losing] in advance," De Mars told 'Submission Radio' (via SB Nation). "Ronda trained with an idiot. She trained with an idiot who's a fraud. I would be shocked to find out if that guy has any record at all. ... The guy's a fraud. Ronda has a lot of talent."

Ronda Rousey Getting Used To Stripping For The Camera

Tarverdyan has had a tumultuous couple of months. His license to serve as a cornerman was revoked in California and he later filed for bankruptcy after finding himself over $700,000 in debt. Rousey was 12-0 heading into her fight with Holm on Nov. 14, but she was knocked out by a kick to the head in the second round and hasn't fought since.

It's unknown when Rousey will return to the Octagon, but a rematch with Holm has been put on hold. It was expected the two would do battle once again at UFC 200 this July in Las Vegas, but UFC president Dana White said the bout was scrapped due to "Rowdy's" schedule changing.

Holm, meanwhile, will defend her belt for the first time against Meisha Tate at UFC 197 on March 15.

If and when Rousey and Holm do meet again, De Mars believes her daughter will win as long as she changes camps. Rousey stated publicly after the loss that she doesn't intend to implement changes, which doesn't lead to confidence from her mother.

"I hope that he loses his license or goes to jail, because either of those are a possibility," she said. "So yeah, I think if she changes, if she changes her training camp, she has an outstanding chance of winning. If she doesn't -- you know what, as a statistician, one thing we tell people all the time is, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. If you do the same things with the same people, you can expect the same results."
