Johnny Manziel's football career continues to be on hold as his legal issues will soon unfold.
Dallas detectives are continuing to build their case against the embattled Cleveland Browns quarterback over his late January incident involving former girlfriend Colleen Crowley, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Investigators are trying to finish its fact-gathering to determine whether Manziel will face charges and what those charges will be.
"Hopefully by the end of next week we'll be done with it," Maj. Midge Boyle, who heads the domestic violence unit, told The Dallas Morning News.

Crowley, Manziel's girlfriend of two years before the couple broke up in December, filed a complaint against the 23-year-old athlete, alleging that he assaulted her on the night of Jan. 29 and the early morning hours of Jan. 30.
Kathy Kinzer, Crowley's lawyer, said her client had a ruptured ear drum because of the assault had trouble hearing out of her left ear as a result, according to ESPN.
"In Texas, causing serious injury could be considered aggravated assault, which is a felony," ESPN reported. "The penalty for a conviction for a second-degree felony is two to 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000."
Crowley has provided medical records to assist the investigation.
Boyle also told the Morning News that detectives were still trying to find a few more witnesses to complete their investigation and do their "due diligence." She said detectives want to have as much information as possible to build a case against Manziel before asking him for his statement.
Crowley told police the fight started at a Dallas hotel over an argument about another woman. She said Manziel became angry and forced her into a car, dragged her by the hair and drove her to Fort Worth. She claims Manziel told her, "Shut up or I'll kill us both," at one point.
Crowley filed a protective order against Manziel, and Judge Michael Sinha wrote that "the court finds there is reason to believe that family violence has occurred," approving the order earlier this month, the Morning News reported.
