Sting WWE Return 2016 Rumors: 'Vigilante's' Dream Of Wrestling Again 'Not Dead Yet' [VIDEO]

There has been a lot of speculation lately about wrestling legend Sting's in-ring future.

"The Vigilante" is headed toward the WWE Hall of Fame on April 2 and has been dealing with a neck injury. Due to his ailment, there have been reports that the former WWE and WCW Heavyweight Champion will announce his retirement.

Sting isn't quite ready to call it a career yet, however.

"That is one of those rumors floating around, yes," Sting told IGN. "TMZ put something out and, again, I still have a dream inside of me. And it's not dead yet."

Sting's words seem to hint that he'll once again try to continue his career, even if it may not be in his best interest. The wrestling legend is now 57, so returning to the ring could be very dangerous for him.

Still, Sting hasn't been shy about wanting to face The Undertaker, a dream he has yet to see come to light.

The TNA Hall of Famer and former face of WCW burst on the WWE scene in November 2014 and engaged in a feud with Triple H. He then wrestled Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in September in a match that led to his injury.

The WWE had the chance to put Sting vs. Undertaker on last year at WrestleMania 31, but opted to have "The Vigilante" battle Triple H, while "The Deadman" faced Bray Wyatt.

As far as fan reaction to Sting losing both of his big matches in the WWE, he doesn't feel disappointed in the slightest.

"It was WrestleMania and Triple H," Sting said, calling it awesome and incredible. "And a lot of fans, if I understand what you're trying to say here, sort of feel 'Are you kind of disappointed that you lost two times?' No, I'm not. I look back and say 'Wow, great opponent in Triple H. Biggest stage and platform of them all.'

"You know, wrestling fans remember me wrestling there. I don't think they're walking away thinking it sucked because I should have won. Maybe for a minute. But more so they'll remember that I was at WrestleMania. And then to have a world title match against Seth? Wow. I've been world champion many times, so it didn't bother me."

Disappointed or not, Sting will hope to get another match down the line. Maybe one he'll actually win.
