WWE 'SmackDown' Spoilers 7/7/16: Match Results As Brock Lesnar's 'SummerSlam' Opponent Remains A Mystery [POLL, VIDEO]

The WWE presented the second-to-last taped edition of "SmackDown" on Tuesday in Toledo, Ohio, which is set to air this Thursday night and continue the build to Battleground.

Heading into the night, the WWE teased that a major announcement regarding Brock Lesnar's opponent for SummerSlam would be revealed, but it wasn't told to the audience.

That either means false advertisement on the part of the WWE (the card is subject to change) or the announcers revealed it on commentary without telling the live crowd.

In the main event of the evening, Sami Zayn defeated Chris Jericho with a roll up with Kevin Owens on commentary. After the match, Jericho and Owens beat up Zayn to end the show.

The opening bout saw Seth Rollins defeat Jey Uso with Dean Ambrose serving as the special guest ring announcer. The "Lunatic Fringe" made fun of "The Architect" throughout the match on the microphone and Rollins ended up running away from him once the bout came to an end.

In an in-ring segment, Enzo and Cass talked about saving John Cena on "RAW," but were interrupted by AJ Styles and The Club. This led to a bout between Styles and Enzo Amore, which saw "The Phenomenal One" win via the Styles Clash.

In other action, Zack Ryder overcame Sheamus with a flying elbow drop and The Miz overcame Kalisto with a Skull Crushing Finale. Ryder issued a challenge to Rusev for the United States Championship after his win, but he was denied by the "Bulgarian Brute."

Over in the women's division, Becky Lynch was set for a match, but was attacked by Natalya, while Sasha Banks was interviewed backstage, leading to the setup for a clash with Dana Brooke on "RAW."

With Battleground airing on July 24 from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., this episode continued the buildup toward the big event.
