According to Forbes report, Apple is rumored to drop numbers in the naming of its upcoming iPhone. It is rumored that instead of iPhone 8, the next Smartphone from Apple will be named as "iPhone X."
It is reported that the rumor on the naming strategy of Apple Inc. comes from sources inside the company's supply chain. Also, there are no official confirmations from Apple and there is also a possibility that this is just a code name for the next iPhone.
