Sony, the Japanese tech giant has already confirmed its presence at Mobile World Congress 2017 and it is speculated that the upcoming smartphone from Sony to be Xperia X2. The new upcoming flagship is speculated to arrive with amazing specifications and features and there are rumors that the phone will have a price tag somewhere in between £450-550.
According to Xperia Blog, it is reported that Sony confirmed its attendance at the MWC event in Barcelona and the company has already started to send invites to its Mobile World Congress (MWC) press conference. Sony confirmed its slot on Monday 27th February at 8.30 am CET.
Also, it is reported that the company did not confirm the live streaming of the event and it is are high chances of a company going for live streaming as what was seen in the last year's event. The Blog mentions that there are expectations of two new Xperia smartphones to be launched in the MWC 2017 and expectations are very high on Xperia X2.
Xperia Blog states "We can't confirm whether the event will be live-streamed, but it was last year, so there's a good chance it will be again." Few of the expected specifications and features in Sony Xperia X2 are mentioned below-
Display: Sony Xperia X2 is expected to feature either a 5.2 inch or 5.5 inch IPS display with the resolution such as 2,560 x 1,440 or 3,840 x 2,160. It is unknown whether the phone will sport a 1440p or 4K display.
Processor: Under the hood, Sony Xperia X2 is expected to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Quad-core 2.4GHz processor coupled with either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM. The phone is also expected to come with Android 7.0 Nougat straight out-of-the-box.
Storage: Sony Xperia X2 is speculated to have a minimum storage capacity of 32GB and there also chances that Sony might release two variants with two different combinations- the first variant as 4GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity and another variant likely to be 6GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity. Also, the phone is expected to have an expandable storage option via micoSD card up to 256GB.
Camera: Sony Xperia X2 is speculated to feature either single 23 megapixels rear camera or Dual 12 megapixels set up and the front camera to be 13 megapixels single lens setup.
Other Features: Sony Xperia X2 is anticipated to have features like the USB Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11abgn/ac, Bluetooth v4.2 with aptX, NFC, fingerprint sensor and 3G, 4G, LTE Dual-SIM support.
