Microsoft, the Redmond-based tech giant though silent on its device Surface Pro 5, tech enthusiasts are indeed waiting for its official announcement. The 2-in-1 device from Microsoft is speculated to hit the tech market in April this year.

Microsoft though hasn't made any statement on its device, recent reports claim that the company has made significant upgrades over its previous model with respect to specifications and features.

Considering the release of its previous model, Pro 4 was launched in October 2015 and there were high expectations of Surface Pro 5 in October 2016. But, there were no words mentioning about the Surface Pro 5 and the event was limited to the Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio. Based on this, the device is highly expected to be unveiled this year.

According to Tech Times, it is reported that the Surface Pro 5 will sport more improved Touch Screen panel with 4K screen resolution. The device is expected to roll-out in two different versions of RAM, supporting 512GB to 1TB storage SSD.

Under the hood, Surface Pro 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor and few other reports suggest the device will be powered by Intel's 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor. The later type of processor is believed to have caused the delay in the launch of this device. However, the type of processor to be equipped inside the device will be known once Microsoft makes official announcements.

The device is also speculated to feature USB Type-C ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging and improved Surface Pen.

According to Express UK, it was earlier rumored that Surface Pro 5 will arrive in the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona which will be held next month. Since there are no official confirmations yet, it is speculated that the 2-in-1 device from Microsoft is speculated to hit the tech market in April this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
