WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Results And Highlights Of The First Pay-Per-View Of The Year

Everyone saw one of the biggest events of WWE yesterday. However, some missed WWE Royal Rumble 2017 live event. Here are the highlights of the event with results.

The nine-hour long show was a blockbuster with big stars participing in the likes of AJ Styles, John Cena, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Charlotte, Bayley, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, and much more. It was the first pay-per-view of this year.

With the help of Ten Sports and IGN, this is the list with an overview of the match and winners:

WWE Universal Championship (No Disqualification Match): Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was attacked by Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. However, Reigns quickly recovered and managed to throw Jericho in the shark cage.

After some time when Reigns thought of power bombing Owens through the table, the beast Braun Strowman came from the crowd and give Reigns a chokeslam and power slam. Owens came in time to pin Reigns.

Winner: Kevin Owens

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville vs. Rich Swann:

The self-proclaimed "King of the Cruiserweights," and the guy who spent the majority of his WWE run as an NXT champ and then on the main roster, won the match and captured the division gold to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.

Winner: Neville

WWE World Championship: AJ Styles vs. John Cena:

This was one of the matches of the decade. Both players played their best game but with the two back to back Attitude Adjustments, AJ had no chance to make a comeback. With lots of excitement and expectations, Cena won the match and he matched Ric Flair's record of 16 titles.

Winner: John Cena

30-man Royal Rumble:

Royal Rumble is the center of attraction. Not only because it is a game of 30 men but it creates excitement when unexpected players come into the ring after a long time.

The beast, Braun Strowman eliminated seven members and was eliminated by combined efforts of Barron Corbin and Sami Zayn. Chris Jericho removed Sheamus and Cesaro. Brock Lesnar eliminated three competitors until the entry of his nemesis Goldberg.

Goldberg gave spear to Brock Lesnar and threw him out of the ring. He also eliminated Luke Harper and Rusev but he failed against the Undertaker who threw him out. The Undertaker eliminated three other competitors as well.

Roman Reigns stunned the crowd at No. 30 and unbelievably eliminated the Undertaker. At last, Reigns, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were the only survivors. Randy removed Wyatt and turned a spear into an RKO and threw Reigns over the top rope for the victory.
