Terrence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr. Excited for Megafight

During the interview, Errol Spence Jr. said the upcoming fight would be the best welterweight showdown in the last 40 years, according to an article by Boxing Scene.

When Smith asked why the fight took so long, he responded that "great things take time," citing tedious negotiations as one reason for the delay.

Both fighters are excited about the bout, saying it is good for the fans and the sport.

In the middle of the interview, Crawford commented on how the fight will go. The Omaha-born fighter declared he would go for the knockout if he could hurt Spence Jr.

"I don't have a 100% ratio of knockouts in the welterweight division for nothing. Ever since I moved up I became meaner, stronger, punching harder," Crawford added.

Meanwhile, Spence Jr. guaranteed that both men would do their work come July 29.

"You see his work, you see my work. As soon as I get in the ring I'm stepping, and I expect him to step too. We're gonna put on a great show," the 33-year-old said.

Both fighters will be putting their undefeated slates on the line.
