Remember when Kanye West sang, "We should have never ever let Michael Jordan play for the Wizards"? Maybe he should not have bought the Charlotte Hornets, too. Or never get near any NBA front office job again.

Because if the logic of Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright is to be followed, this is a dent in his legacy, and he does not deserve to be called the Greatest of All Time.

The sports commentator said Jordan achieved nothing in his tenure as Hornets owner, similar to what he did not accomplish without Scottie Pippen.

"His ownership tenure of the Hornets was identical to his playing tenure when Scottie Pippen wasn't his teammate: zero postseason series victories," Wright said during an appearance at The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

"He won three games, at least, as a Hornets gm and owner in the playoffs as opposed to only one as a player."

Wright thinks Jordan is being judged using different criteria as the GOAT. He said if people also include the six-time NBA champs' contribution and achievements outside of the basketball court, his time with the Hornets should also matter.

Failure from a financial standpoint?

Michael Jordan acquired the Hornets for $180 million as a majority owner in 2010, although he has been a minority owner and "Managing Member of Basketball Operations" since 2006.

He now walks away as the team's majority owner in exchange for roughly $3 billion and a minority stake.

Jordan may have failed as a basketball operations manager, but from a purely financial point of view, his bank account can defend him.
