Why fix it when it ain't broken?
This is what Miami Heat President Pat Riley seemingly suggests about his plans this offseason after overachieving in the 2023 season.
The Heat finished as the overall runner-up after starting the playoffs as an eighth-seed play-in team. The team's main core during its historic playoff run was composed of four undrafted players.

Riley said the core would likely be retained during an interview with the Miami Herald.
"We're not going to take a wrecking ball to a good team that had some real adversity this year that I felt built some strength," the two-time NBA Executive of the Year said.
"We have a good team, and probably a great team. And so, running it back?"
Subtle moves, major results
Pat Riley believes their formula from last season worked well, wherein they signed players usually under the radar of other teams.
He hinted about moves the team will make this summer free agency and described them as 'subtle' that will be enough if they are the right moves.
"We've played this game for 27 years and some of them we hit on, we hit big and I plan on hitting big again," he explained.
"But I'm not just swinging for the fences right now because it could be a little bit reckless and after this year, I feel very good about where we are. But also, we need to improve."
Aside from the players, Riley also anchors the next season to Erik Spoelstra, who he said is the "best coach in the league."

So far, there are no official plans yet on roster change from the Heat camp.
