LeBron James has made iconic plays in his NBA career, as well as iconic moments like simply announcing his next team, simple tweets, or media appearances.

American football prospect Kwazi Gilmer hit LeBron fans with nostalgia after releasing a video of his commitment to UCLA by parodying a hardly remembered King James Nike commercial.

Gilmer is from Sierra Canyon, where James' sons, Bronny and Bryce, were from.

The bit became instantly viral and earned amusement from X and Instagram users.

The four-star recruit described his selection of UCLA as something he had been planning all along amid all the offers he was getting from other schools.

"When I got the UCLA offer, I was as happy as I could possibly be," he said.

"I have been a Bruin since I was born. My mom is a UCLA alumnus, and while she was having me, she was at UCLA, and when she had me, she was at UCLA. I have been a Bruin my whole life. Why should I leave? I always thought that to myself. I know so much about UCLA, I love it at UCLA and it has been part of me for life, so this was the right place for me."

What excites him about UCLA?

Aside from UCLA boasting a great football program, Gilmer is also excited about possibly playing alongside Dante Moore, who joined the school in January this year.

"The offense will revolve around him and I see UCLA doing big things in the Big Ten," he said.

"He is someone I am really looking forward to playing with when I get there."
