Bryce James, the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, will transfer to a different school than what he announced a few months ago.

For his junior season, the 16-year-old will now play for Notre Dame High School in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. The school's varsity team is the current defending CIF State Division 1 champion.

The 6-foot-4 high school player announced last May that he would be playing for Campbell Hall High School, located in the Studio City neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Ranked as a four-star recruit by On3, Bryce spent the first two years of high school playing for Sierra Canyon School alongside his brother Bronny James, who is now bound to play college basketball for the USC Trojans.

The move has been brewing for weeks

Bryce James visited the Notre Dame High School campus on Friday, July 21, and aimed to complete the enrollment process sooner.

However, his older brother Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during a USC Trojans practice three days later, delaying the progress and his family's priority of his transfer.

After the 18-year-old was released from the ICU and was in stable condition, Bryce completed the process to be able to play for the Notre Dame Knights for the 2023-24 season.

A Campbell Hall official confirmed that the shooting guard has now been unenrolled from the school last Wednesday.
