James Harden, as expected, was a no-show in the Philadelphia 76ers's media day on Monday, October 2. It appears the 2018 NBA MVP is still upset and will continue to wait until his wish to be traded is granted by the Sixers, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

It is no secret that James Harden wanted to be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, talks bogged down, but this hasn't stopped the 34-year-old All-Star from demanding to be traded.

Thus, his status with the Sixers is up in the air. Regardless, 76ers team president Daryl Morey hopes to patch things up with the disgruntled 10-time All-Star, per NBA.com.

"He continues to seek a trade and we're working with his representation to resolve that in the best way for the 76ers and hopefully all parties," Morey stated.

However, his failure to show up at media day is expected to rub salt on the matter, with James Harden likely fined for not showing up.

James Harden remains firm in NBA trade demand

Although the 76ers were hardly surprised that Harden was absent at the team's media day, an unnamed high-ranking official from the Sixers camp is still holding out hope that the third overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft would show up at training camp per NBA on TNT reporter Jared Greenberg via CBS Sports.

After picking up his $35.6 million contract option with the Sixers, Harden aired his wish to be traded, USA Today reported.

Aside from the Clippers, Morey and the Sixers have had no luck finding a trade partner.
