The Kansas City Chiefs may have escaped the New York Jets on Sunday, October 1, although it took a fumble and some late-game heroics from Patrick Mahomes to pull it off.

Before that sequence, Jets' QB Zach Wilson appeared to be playing perfect football. That was until he fumbled a shotgun snap with about 7:24 remaining in the game with his team trailing the Chiefs, 23-20, the New York Post reported.

Beyond the actual game, there was, of course, the presence of Taylor Swift during the Chiefs-Jets game. The American pop icon was in attendance to support Travis Kelce.

Not all were happy with the Chiefs' win, particularly how it was played. Among them included former NFL player Peyton Manning, who gave a hilarious response when his brother, Eli Manning, brought up Taylor Swift at halftime of the Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants game on ESPN's ManningCast.

"Is Taylor Swift not at this game? I thought she goes to MetLife for all the New York games," Eli Manning started.

Not long after, Peyton Manning said, "If she was at this game, she left."

The 33-year-old singer and songwriter has become a key fixture in the last couple of games of the Chiefs as her true relationship with Kelce remains a hot topic.

According to an unnamed source, Swift and Kelce are still at that stage of trying to get to know each other, People reported.

The Kansas City Chiefs will next face the Minnesota Vikings at the US Bank Stadium on Sunday, October 8, ABC News reported. There is no word if Taylor Swift will be in attendance for that game.
