The Denver Broncos lost yet another game, this time against the New York Jets, 31-21, on Sunday, October 8. However, it was the sideline interaction between Broncos coach Sean Payton and QB Russell Wilson.

As far as he is concerned, there was nothing special about the sideline interaction between Payton and Wilson, the Denver Post reported.

"I don't think I was that animated," Payton said. "Every attention to exchange or discussions I have with Russ (gets talked about). I just wanted to make sure he knew the linebacker was a free rusher, so it wasn't as big of an exchange or big deal I think maybe as some may have thought."

Russell accounted for 20 of 30 passes for 196 yards. However, it was the fumble that ended the game.

When the 34-year-old Wilson headed the way of Payton, there was undoubtedly animosity between the two. Payton moved up his microphone while Wilson took off his helmet to answer the Broncos coach, a scene captured by NFL on ESPN.

Broncos trade likely to address losing woes

The Broncos are now 1-5 after their Week 5 loss to the Jets. Their next assignment won't get easier as they face the Travis Kelce-led Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, October 12.

With their season spiraling, some are fearing that changes may be forthcoming. This includes potential trades that may happen soon, according to some unnamed Broncos players per James Palmer of the NFL Network on "The Insiders" on NFL Plus.

"Being there yesterday, the sense that I get from players in that locker room is a potential teardown is coming," Palmer stated. "That's just the way some of these players feel."
