Philadelphia 76ers' legend Charles Barkley is known for not holding back when he wants to speak his mind. And apparently, the man formerly known as the "Round Mound" is fully aware of the mess that his former team is in.

On Thursday, the 60-year-old did not hold back regarding the James Harden-Daryl Morey mess. Barkley went off on James Harden's trade request and criticized Morey for how he is dealing with the whole ordeal via TNT Sports.

"You just can't take time off because you're unhappy you ain't getting traded," Barkley said about Harden's antics as he awaits to be shipped to a new team.

Barkley did not hold back on Morey's management of the situation either.

"And Daryl Morey screwed this thing up too. James Harden got one year left on his deal. The notion he gonna get a bucketload of picks and players to have a guy whose only going to be on that team for one year - he's not going to get good deal," the 1993 NBA MVP rued.

Sixers in a messy James Harden situation

With the NBA holding a strong ruling on resting healthy players, the absence of James Harden against the Milwaukee Bucks is now being investigated, NBA.com reported.

"We're looking into the facts around James Harden's availability tonight to determine whether an approved reason exists for his lack of participation," NBA spokesman Mike Bass stated.

Per the player participation policy, a team must show an approved reason for a star player to miss national TV games. If the Sixers cannot do so, they could be penalized as much as $100,000 for their first violation of the rule, CBS Sports reported.
