The Chargers vs Broncos Week 14 game will be the first of two meetings this month.

The Los Angeles Chargers (5-7) host their division rivals, Denver Broncos (6-6), as both organizations try to build up their playoff hopes.

The former is just coming off a win against the New England Patriots, a victory so ugly that there's almost no takeaway. On the other hand, the latter pulled off impressive wins in the past month, including one against defending champions Kansas City Chiefs.

These two American Football Conference West rivals are still in the running for a wild card spot. Who will get the much-needed win?

Kick-off is at 4:25 P.M. ET on Sunday, December 10. The game will be shown live on CBS.

Chargers vs. Broncos Week 14 Preview

The match will be played at the SoFi Stadium, but playing there is not much of a problem for road teams this season.

The Chargers are 2-3 at home, although the catch is those losses came from teams above .500 - Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, and Dallas Cowboys.

Can the Broncos pull off a win at SoFi Stadium?

The Chargers had a better result in the last outing, but the Broncos have the better form as they went five wins out of their last six.

Quarterback Russell Wilson clings to that moment of their season and hopes they can use it as they make a run for the playoffs in the remaining five weeks.

"We've been 5-1 over the last six games," Wilson said. "We can't forget that, too."

Wilson needs to do better to return to their form in that five-game winning streak. He conceded three interceptions in a loss to the Houston Texans, which they can't afford against the Chargers.

His counterpart from the Chargers, Justin Herbert, is wary of the Broncos' defense, which leads the league with 22 takeaways.

"They're going out and getting them - picks, fumbles. Getting after the ball. That's the good part about a defense, is if they're playing around and flying like that, they're going to be a good defense," Herbert said.

"Causing and forcing turnovers like that, it just reminds you that you have to be smart with the ball. Play smart, winning football."

Chargers also need to improve their running game to trigger their offense. Only Keenan Allen, who leads the NFL with 102 catches, is the more reliable target for Herbert.

Chargers vs. Broncos Week 14 Pick

Broncos will come out on top in this game. Their offense responds well to bad defense, and the Chargers possess the latter in their previous outings.
