Another Philadelphia Eagles game, another upsetting result for their fans and bettors?

While the 2022 Super Bowl Finalists continue to slide, many don't expect much from their opponents this Christmas day.

The Eagles vs. Giants Week 16 match is expected to be a lopsided one in favor of the National Football Conference East leaders (tied with the Dallas Cowboys at 10-4).

This will be the first of two meetings between division rivals. Their next showdown will be in the penultimate week at the MetLife Stadium.

For now, they have to take care of the Christmas Day business as both continue to chase playoff appearances.

The Eagles already assured themselves of a spot but there is still so much to improve after losing three straight. Are they contenders or not?

To put it simply, the Eagles are the better team on paper and the better team if the focus is on the games before their losing skid. Of course, they can have their bad days which the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Seattle Seahawks all took advantage of.

Eagles vs. Giants Week 16 Preview

Jalen Hurts played through flu in the loss to the Seahawks and it is reported that he remains sick ahead of the redemption game against the Giants.

Eagles can breathe a sigh of relief as the star quarterback is available for the Christmas Day match according to reporter Ian Rapoport.

"Knowing Jalen Hurts and seeing him operate I believe also he is going to play, mainly because he always plays," Rapoport said on NFL Network.

"But this is not a cold, this is not a little thing, it's not actually the flu either. This is something that left him weak enough to where at some point he was really wondering is he going to be able to travel."

Hurts has been sensational against the Giants. He is 4-1 against the Californian club since taking over as the main QB and recorded an overall passer rating of 72.7 with 774 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions.

The offense is where the Eagles must improve and it should have no problem against the Giants who are 24thin defensive ratings.

Jason Kelce and the rest of the Eagles have to wary though about Tommy DeVito whose stock has been rising in the past month.

Eagles vs. Giants Week 16 Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles are favorites by double digits but they are 1-3 against the spread this season. As for the Giants, they covered the spread just once this season when underdogs by 12 points or more.

Moneyline suggests the visiting team only has 18 percent chance to win.

Final score: 30-13, Eagles.
