NBA Trade Deadline: Mavericks Attain Daniel Gafford from Wizards

The Dallas Mavericks continue their trade deadline moves by acquiring the Washington Wizards center, Daniel Gafford.

The Washington Wizards are nearing a deal to send Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks for Richaun Holmes and draft compensation, sources tell ESPN.

The Mavs sent over Richaun Holmes and a 2024 first round pick (Mavs via Thunder) in exchange for the Wizards talented defender.

Ranking close to last defensive categories, a major need for the Mavericks this season has been on the defensive end, and they just added a well-rounded interior defender in Daniel Gafford.
