Shaquille O'Neal is vowing the only way his four kids with ex-wife Shaunie O'Neal will appear on her new reality TV show is "over my dead body."
According to TMZ, the one-time happy couple is involved in an ongoing dispute about Shaunie O'Neal's plans to have the four kids they share star in her new The Shaunie Project VH1 show, which is slated to begin filming soon after the holidays.
With O'Neal totally opposed to the idea, the website reports Shaunie O'Neal recently sought an emergency court order allowing her to have the kids appear as part of the regular cast.
TMZ adds Shaunie O'Neal attempted to soften her ex's stance by assuring him that the show is just like The Cosby Show in terms of being good, wholesome, family fun. Reportedly one of the episodes is set to focus on Shaunie O'Neal's aversions to working out and her kids coming together to convince her to give it a try by all of them agreeing to run in a 5K race together.
TMZ reports Shaq remains skeptical and is convinced the pressures of making the show a ratings hit will eventually become too great to keep it as wholesome as he would like. The website adds O'Neal is convinced the show will end up showcasing a dysfunctional family that will hurt his kids.
We're told Shaunie will tell the judge she needs an emergency order so she can meet her deadlines -- filming is scheduled to start the first week of January.
The former couple have previously been at odds over some of the storylines originating in Shaunie O'Neal's other ongoing reality show Basketball Wives.
