NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has taken out a near $9 million mortgage on a Florida mansion he's owned for nearly two decades.

According to RadarOnline.com, the 7' 1" Hall of Fame center has purchased a $8.875 million mansion for Windermere property, which spans 28,294 square-feet and features eight bedrooms and 12.5 bathrooms. The website reports O'Neal has actually owned the home since 1993 when he paid $4.95 million for it, but now that it carries an estimated $10 million worth he decided to take out the new mortgage on it through his Chexy Trust account with Sun Trust Bank.

Just outside of Orlando, the property also features an outdoor pool dubbed Shaqupulco and an indoor basketball court.

Reportedly, the 41-year-old O'Neal also recently purchased a home that is about one-eighth the size of the Windermere property in nearby Mount Dora. That single-family home features 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, cherry cabinetry, and an entertainment room.

O'Neal, who now work as a TNT NBA analyst and owns a minority share in the Sacramento Kings, played 17 NBA seasons for six different teams and won four NBA titles. O'Neal averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks over his career.
