According to the report, Sergeant Mark Clark said that the police learned about the situation after TMZ brought it to their attention on Wednesday.

EXCLUSIVE: TED WELLS REPORT FINDINGS ON INCOGNITO AND DOLPHINS BEHAVIOR

"They provided us with a photo of a damaged car and reported it to belong to Mr. Incognito, and they gave us an address," Clark said per USA Today. "We went out there and checked to see if there was a damaged car there. There was no car and no one answered the door."

Clark then said that Incognito admitted to bashing his own car.

"We went out there again this morning and we were able to contact Mr. Incognito and he reported that he damaged his own car and didn't need any police help or report," he told the site.

INCOGNITO APOLOGIZES TO MARTIN ON TWITTER

Incognito has had anger issues in the past and was suspended from the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 3 after a bullying scandal broke out involving himself and Martin. The ban was later lifted but followed up with a Twitter rant by Incognito after the Ted Wells report on the locker room environment revealed the extremes that Incognito and some other Dolphins went through.

Incognito has apparently taken out the resulting frustrations on his own car.
