Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green defended troubled Grizzlies star Ja Morant from people who want the electrifying guard to go to jail due to his second gun-flashing incident on social media.

Draymond Green Strikes Back at Ja Morant Haters
The 33-year-old playmaker forward said on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, that while he doesn't condone Morant's actions, he also saw an issue about people urging to "lock up" the All-Star guard.
Green argued that it is not illegal to own a gun in many places in the United States, and Morant could have been in a state where open carry is allowed. No conclusion has been made if Morant had a license for his gun or broke the law.
The passionate Warriors forward also added that no one knows the circumstances of the event and urged people to stop the "lock him up" and "thug" calls because he believes it is not right.
The person that Green's rant may have referred to is internet personality and video game streamer Adin Ross, who was quoted saying the exact words "lock up him" and "thug," the phrases Green mentioned on his podcast.
However, Green thinks Morant was still in the wrong for what he did, stating that his actions were "irresponsible" and could significantly affect business as kids drive merchandise sales, and parents of those kids may avoid purchasing products affiliated with the Grizzlies star due to the incident.
