NFL news: Dolphins, Knowshon Moreno agree to one year deal; Chris Johnson too pricy for Fins? [GIFS]

The Miami Dolphins have solved their running back situation if only temporarily. The Dolphins have signed former Denver Bronco Knowshon Moreno to a one year deal.

With all the rumors of the Dolphins’ being in the running for a new starting running back, the signing of Moreno should come as no surprise. The delay the Dolphins could have faced when looking for one could be if they wanted to take a shot on Moreno or to trade for Titans running back Chris Johnson.

Bears Sign Jared Allen; Better Than Julius Peppers?

If I was a betting man I would have thought the Dolphins take a chance on Johnson over Moreno, but recent production in Denver could have sparked Miami’s interest. The running back issues in Miami could be over, but if Moreno reverts back to his pre-2013 self then the Dolphins will be looking for another new running back sooner rather than later.

I like the move for the Dolphins now, but if they had traded for Johnson they could have solved the issues for a much larger time period.
