2014 MLB Predictions: AL | NL

Home opener guide for every MLB team

Dustin Ackley, Seattle Mariners (Owned in 58 percent of CBSSports.com leagues) – Ackley is a former top prospect who is getting another chance to play on a regular basis. He should be eligible at 2B and OF in most formats and the Mariners are hoping he’s finally figured things out after a productive spring.

Avisail Garcia, Chicago White Sox (57 percent) – The 22 year old should hit in the heart of the White Sox lineup and has a combo or power and speed that will make him a fantasy asset in time. The time could be now, as Garcia appears set for regular at-bats starting on Opening Day.

Mile Olt, Chicago Cubs (35 percent) – Olt, a former top prospect, is still only 25 years old. He posted an .929 OPS in 56 plate appearances this spring and should be Chicago's regular third baseman. Olt is a solid flier in mixed leagues until later in the season when Kris Bryant arrives in Chicago.

Junior Lake, Chicago Cubs (39 percent) – Lake has a chance to be among the most exciting players in the league at some point. He’s showed nice pop this spring and should receive regular at-bats for the Cubs.

Marcus Semien, Chicago White Sox (15 percent) - Semien enters 2014 as the No. 4 prospect in the White Sox organization. He gets a chance to start at 2B while Gordan Beckham is on the DL, and Semien is good enough to keep the job if he performs while Beckham is sidelined.

Ownership percentages are based on CBSSports.com fantasy baseball leagues.
