Derrick Rose's Manager and Brother Reggie Rose Questions Bulls Desire to Win Championship

Derrick Rose's brother  and advisor Reggie Rose had scathing words for the Chicago Bulls' organization after a quiet deadline came and went without the Bulls adding any talent for the stretch run, according to ESPN Chicago.

"What have you pieced together? Have you made any moves? Have you made any trades to get better? You know all roads to the championship lead through Miami. What pieces have you put together for the physical playoffs," Reggie Rose said to ESPN.

Rose, who won the 2010-2011 NBA MVP award tore his ACL in the opening round of last year's playoffs and has not returned this season. Rose has previously stated that he will not return until his body is "110 percent" and has also said that he would be willing to miss the entire season if he is not fully healthy. Reggie Rose said that the Bulls' knew all along that his brother might not return this year, but withheld that information so that ticket sales wouldn't suffer. Most recently, Rose began playing five-on-five in practice but has yet to announce a target date for his comeback.

Derrick Rose released a statement distancing himself from his brother's inflammatory comments-- "I have always felt that the Bulls organization's goals have been the same as mine and that is to bring another championship to this city."

During the 2011-2012 regular season Rose dealt with injuries all year but managed to score 21.8 points, hand out eight assists, and grab 3.4 rebounds per game. Rose scored 23 points and had nine assists and nine rebounds in Game 1 of their first round matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers before he tore his ACL and the heavily-favored Bulls collapsed.

Knicks guard Iman Shumpert tore his ACL in Game 1 of the Knicks first-round series with the Miami Heat and returned to action on January 17, in a game against the Detroit Pistons in London. He is averaging five points and three assists per game and is averaging just 19 minutes a night as the Knicks nurse him back to shape. He averaged 28.9 minutes a game before the knee injury.
