UConn national championship riots: Fans in Storrs shown ransacking town after Huskies' win over Kentucky [VIDEO]

Nothing like winning gracefully, which is not the case in Storrs, Conn.

Deadspin.com is reporting that fans in Storrs, Conn., are rioting following the Huskies' 60-54 victory over Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament National Championship Game.

According to Deadspin.com, fans ripped down a lamp post in Storrs and threw in through a school building window. Fans have started fires, flipped cars and climbed things they shouldn't have in celebration of UConn's fourth championship title.

The Huskies themselves displayed a fighting spirit during and after the game. During the postgame interview with CBS Sports' Jim Nantz, UConn guard Shabazz Napier asked for everyone's attention in the arena following the Huskies' victory.

He told a nationally televised audience that the team was the "hungry Huskies" and said how the current team used that experience of being banned from the NCAA Tournament last year as motivation to climb to the top in 2013-14.

That may have set off the fans, despite the fact that the Huskies have won the championship four times in the last 15 seasons and twice in the last four seasons, giving their fans a chance on how to act in celebration of a national championship.

One of the pictures of the UConn fans carnage, however, appears not to be what took place on Monday night.

A reader responding to the Deadspin.com article produced a 4-month-old article of the same fire-burning scene and attributed the photo to the fans response after Michigan State defeated Ohio State during the Big Ten championship football game.

Do you think UConn fans should've acted more civil in light of the fact that the Huskies also won a national championship in 2011? Comment below or tell us @SportsWN.
