Just one day after ranting about 'idiot' fans that run onto baseball fields, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones was once again vocal when asked about facing Japanese phenom and New York Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka, saying facing him was "nothing special."

Jones said he wouldn't buy into the hype of the Yankees' $155 million offseason acquisition just a day after ranting about two fans that ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium during Game 2 of the series between the two teams.
The Orioles defeated Tanaka and the Yankees 5-4 on Thursday night and took two of the three games of the series in the Bronx.

"Why don't you ask Tanaka about me? I'm the one who's been over here in the major leagues for a while," Jones said Tuesday, according to Newsday. "Congratulations, he did it over there. Don't make it like he's the dirtiest guy in the world. He was 24-0 -- in Japan."
While the Orioles won the game, Jones didn't fare very well against Tanaka, striking out twice. Still, facing Tanaka for the first time didn't seem to make much of an impact on the center fielder.
"Am I [supposed] to go home and say I faced Tanaka tonight? Just go throw a party that I faced Tanaka? It's another pitcher," Jones told Newsday. "Another pitcher in the rotation. Nothing special to me. It's just another guy that we have to go through to get to where we want to be."
Tanaka made his second Major League start and first at Yankee Stadium Thursday, however he suffered a no-decision while allowing seven hits --including a 3-run homer --and striking out 10.
Jones, who is hitting .303 (10-for-33) with a homer and four RBIs, was critical of fans who run on the field a day before ranting about Tanaka.
"You look like a [fool] when you run on the field," he told ESPN. "We don't go to any other events. We don't go to other sporting events and do that to their jobs, but they come to ours and do that. I get it, you're drunk and you want to be on 'SportsCenter.' Your [butt] is going to jail with a fine, and you might not be allowed to come back to the ballpark.
Tanaka has come to the United States with plenty of fanfare, but Jones thus far isn't impressed.
