CM Punk quits WWE [VIDEO]: Punk featured on leaked RAW script [LINK], WWE not giving up on 'Best in the World'?

CM Punk hasn't been on WWE television since storming out on the company in late January prior to a Monday Night RAW telecast the night after the Royal Rumble, however Punk's name appeared on a leaked script for this past Monday's RAW, leading to the belief that the WWE may not have given up on getting the "Best in the World" back.

Sting has not yet signed with the WWE

On the script set for last Monday in Birmingham, Ala., which can be viewed here, Punk was listed as a member of the roster under the "Miscellaneous" category. Punk was listed as 'INJ-TBD,' meaning injured or to-be-determined. It is likely that he was only listed on the script because he is still officially under contract until July but the WWE doesn't expect him to return but keeps him on there anyway.

A pre-show script has also leaked and can be viewed here. There appeared to be a footprint on it, meaning that someone at the arena likely picked it up off of the floor and leaked it online. On that script, the WWE had a to-do list of things to film at the show for future programming, including The JBL & Cole Show, a Mark Henry clip to promote the Haunted House 2 movie, WWE Inbox episodes and more.

WWE SmackDown spoilers for 4/18/14: Batista vs. Sheamus main events

Punk walked out on the company due to burnout from traveling and his frustration with his use within the WWE. It had always been his dream to main event a WrestleMania, however at the time of his departure, Punk was slated to face Triple H while Batista would take on Randy Orton as a babyface for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Daniel Bryan was set to face Sheamus.

Punk reportedly was frustrated over his role on the card and a part-timer like Batista coming back to headline the biggest show of the year and opted to leave due to the fact that WrestleMania XXX was likely to be his final WrestleMania due to his contract expiring, and he was unhappy with he and Bryan's roles.

As it turned out, the fans rejected Batista as a top face and the WWE was forced to flip the script and have him turn heel while adding Bryan to the match with Triple H with the winner going into the main event to make it a triple threat.

Bryan ended up winning both matches and leaving New Orleans as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion while Punk still has yet to be seen on WWE television since, and even skipped the Chicago episode of Monday Night RAW from his hometown on March 3.

Punk, who got engaged to girlfriend A.J. Lee a couple of weeks ago, may have been on the script for RAW, but he still likely is done with the WWE.
